A Bit About Me
I began exploring movement as a dedicated dancer at the age of 5, this voyage led me through the realms of Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Gymnastics and finally Hip Hop shaping a foundation diverse of movement expertise. Earning a degree in Dance I delved into anatomy, safe practice, history of Dance and multiple daily dance lessons.
My dance journey was not without its challenges- injuries and mental health struggles were strong companions. After graduating, the pursuit of a Dance Career eventually took a toll on my mind, especially during Lockdown. Eventually I shifted my focus from the external pursuit of perfection to the inner realm of mindfulness through Yoga. As I have grown older, my Yoga practice has deepened beyond the mat and through embracing my own limitations; I have learnt that true excellence doesn’t reside in comparison but in nurturing one’s own growth. In comparison with my school dance years, I now understand everyone is a unique canvas of potential.

My dedication to learning more about yoga led me to The Sanctuary at Two Rivers, Costa Rica. Where I immersed myself in Yoga’s philosophy and connecting to friends from around the world. The bustling world of dance paled in comparison to the tranquility of yoga. Settling in Guatemala for nearly a year, I taught regular classes, offered private sessions with meditation and journaling, and guided yoga at a surf retreat. These experiences honed my skills, teaching me the art of effective communication, thoughtful planning and gave me profound connection to students from around the world.

While my time in Guatemala was enriching, my desire for deeper, lasting connections with my students brought me back to the UK. This journey has also lead me to begin treatment for Adult ADHD, which has widened my perspective on Yoga’s impact on individuals with diverse needs.

Through this, I’ve embraced that Yoga isn’t just about postures; it’s a journey of self- discovery. It encapsulates the inspiring individuals, breath-taking nature and supportive communities who have uplifted me and those I got to uplift. The mat is where I explore, learn and expand qualities. Pain and misfortune transformed into lessons, fuelling my passion for continuous transformation.
Beyond the mat, Yoga’s wisdom resonates through my life. It’s shaped my ability to listen, support, learn and creates spaces where others can flourish. Each day unveils fresh sensations and a capacity to embrace challenges. This journey, rife with humility and inspiration, continues to nurture my quest for knowledge, all in service of fostering self-discovery and growth in others.
